the states largest professional locals.
Local
2450 was established to represent those who serve the
citizens of the Commonwealth in Allegheny, Armstrong, Butler,
Clarion, Clearfield, Crawford, Erie, Indiana, Jefferson,
Lawrence, McKean, Mercer, Venango and Warren counties.
Our members are employed at the state, county,
township, borough, and city level, and in
education, health care, social service, transportation and environmental
services throughout Pennsylvania |

UPDATE
If
you or anyone you know is interested in
attending the Shop Steward training at the Quality
Inn in Franklin,
PA in The Fall (Dates to be announced) (subject to change based on
interest), please contact Bill Long on the website http://www.afscmelocal2450.com/
. You don't have to be or ever become a Shop Steward to
attend this training. It is just good informational
training so that you and your co-workers can address issues as
they come up in your workplace. The class will start in
the morning, will break for lunch and finish in the afternoon.
It is open and free to union members.
The
AFSCME training conference will be held at the Marriott
Courtyard in Erie,
PA on October 17, 18 and 19. Many different
classes will be held and our local will pay for anyone who is
interested in attending. Once again, you do not
have to be an officer of the local to attend. Please
